Joining The Lounge Team has worked well for Natalina’s diverse clientele; working Sundays, Mondays as well as evenings until 9 pm, she can accommodate clients at the very times most salons are closed! Mari joined The Lounge Artistic Team all the way from Japan! Having studied English and then hairdressing in Vancouver, Mari fell in love with the City and now resides here permanently to the great fortune of Lounge and her clients.

Mari’s dedication to her craft and her international approach to the diversity of hairdressing ‘looks’ has made her a winner with her diverse client base.

If you’re looking for a change in texture, cut or colour, Mari combines both European and Asian influences to her hairdressing skills, adding a unique and much sought after flavour to the Lounge repertoire. Working throughout the weekend as well as the week, Mari can accommodate appointments for most times and occasions.

Jacob the youngest of the Lounge hair team has recently assumed a full time position as hair stylist. Originally starting at the Lounge at the age of 16 while attending high school, Jacob has worked diligently at refining the technical and artistic aspects of hairstyling. He has taken his skills outside of the salon to compete on provincial, national and international levels for hairstyling. Finding inspiration in all the varied aspects of hairdressing, Jacob is gathering a loyal following of clients eager to join in his meteoric journey in this exciting and diverse craft!

Cathy’s passion for creativity and constant learning has kept her a part of the beauty industry for the past 20 years, including experience as a makeup artist, a sales agent and her current role as hair stylist.  Her dedication to the pursuit of excellence in hairstyling recently involved some training in creative cutting at a leading hair academy in London, England.  Cathy has also competed in hair competitions in both Toronto and Vancouver.  She looks forward to discussing any changes you might want in your look.

An Artist at the young age of 8, after a brief acting career as a child, Steven fell in love with the art of Make up and has been professional creating his art all over the world for many years. He work can be seen all over the lower mainland and in many print ads. Steven has also had the chance to work with the stars while filming in Vancouver and with working close to Martin and Lance Steven designing looks for runway shows, hair shows Etc. Steven now has joined the lounge hair studio team as Spa Coordinator and the lead make up artist He’s looking forward to giving you the latest trends in make up and making sure you have the best experience at the lounge possible.

International Guest Artist and co-owner of The Lounge Hair Studio, Lance Blanchette’s career has been nothing short of a dream. After an extensive first career in banking, Lance moved to blend his academia with his latent artistic skills and what emerged was a skill set which has catapulted him into international notoriety on both stage and TV.

Keeping abreast of the latest developments both technically and artistically in the world of hairdressing, Lance manages to accommodate a full clientele in between his world-wide educational travel, which takes him everywhere from Asia to Europe and South and North America.

His approach to colour, cutting and all hairdressing skills, is both honest and sensitive to the needs of the individual.
